Monday, June 25, 2018-Fort Hunter-In today’s edition of The Story Behind the Story, Bob Cudmore has information on life in then bustling Fort Hunter, New York, in the 1930s and 1940s.  The story just appeared in print as Bob’s latest Focus on History column in the Daily Gazette. Fort Hunter, the hamlet at the confluence of the Schoharie Creek and Mohawk River in the town of Florida, used to have a hotel, broom shops, stores, a coal yard and a military band.
