Mohawk Valley Conference Show 2

Episode 118 featuring Lois Huey, co-author of “Molly Brant: A Legacy of Her Own;” Phil Weaver with the history of the “Jersey Grays” who served in the Mohawk Valley region in 1776 and President James Madison on the founding of America as portrayed by actor Kyle Jenks. A future episode will include an interview with Bruce Venter, author of “The Battle of Hubbardton: the Rear Guard Action that Saved America.” The second annual conference was organized by the Fort Plain Museum and featured talks by historians, tours of Mohawk Valley Revolutionary War sites and dinner at an historic home. Over 200 people attended from the United States and Canada. Next year’s conference will take place June 8 – 11, 2017. The program also airs on RISE, WMHT’s radio service for the blind and visually impaired in the Capital District of New York.
